Microlubrication/NDM Technologies

Metalloid manufactures an extensive line of MicroLubricants used in the process known as Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) or Near Dry Machining (NDM).  Microlubricants replace flood coolants in most cutting and sawing applications.  MQL technology employs “drops” (typically 50mls/hour) of lubricant as opposed to gallons of flood coolant, hence the term “Near Dry Machining.”   MQL does not use water, but instead 100% lubricant is used to drastically improve tool life and reduce lubricant consumption.  Formulations include synthetic polymer and botanical technologies.  MQL technology is the greenest of the green in lubricant technology since there is no waste.
